Are the Saudi’s connected to terror?

Obama to decide on declassifying 9/11 documents within 60 days

President Obama will decide whether to declassify 28 pages of sealed documents — which some suspect show a Saudi connection to the 9/11 attacks — within 60 days, according to a former senator who co-chaired the 2002 joint congressional inquiry into the attacks…

…Both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations have refused to unseal the documents, claiming it would jeopardize national security. Critics claim the reluctance is a calculated move to hide Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the attacks that killed almost 3,000 people.

Ya think?

It would be troublesome but perhaps acceptable for the House of Saud to promote the intolerant and extremist Wahhabi creed just domestically. But, unfortunately, for decades the Saudis have also lavishly financed its propagation abroad. Exact numbers are not known, but it is thought that more than $100 billion have been spent on exporting fanatical Wahhabism to various much poorer Muslim nations worldwide over the past three decades. It might well be twice that number. By comparison, the Soviets spent about $7 billion spreading communism worldwide in the 70 years from 1921 and 1991.
It’s not really news except the US government hasn’t wanted to admit it.
Nearly everywhere in the Muslim world except where Iran holds sway. In the 1980s, Saudi money and fighters poured into Afghanistan to help the mujahedeen fight the Soviets, an effort that gave rise to the Taliban and eventually to al Qaeda. In the 1990s, Saudi aid to the Bosnian Muslims struggling in the wars that broke up Yugoslavia brought the Wahhabi strain of Islam to Europe. That same decade, Saudi money helped to further radicalize Chechnya’s Muslims. One of the cables released by WikiLeaks quotes then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: “Donors in Saudi Arabia constitute the most significant source of funding to Sunni terrorist groups worldwide.” Most members of al Qaeda were Saudi, including Osama bin Laden, and 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis.
They give up just enough intelligence on their enemies to keep the US off their back.

  1. 9 11 was an inside job orchestrated to promote Islamophobia in the world.I suppose it’s just a coincidence that the Bin Ladens were having lunch with the Bushes the day before 9/11 occurred..

  2. Bush ties, ok, It’s called the oil business. Note, Osama had been estranged from his family for a while by that time. Also, Bin Laden has 40 some-odd brothers and sisters spread out among many mothers. But if blame Bush make you feel better…..

  3. There’s a lot of internal factions in SA. It’s sort of like saying Republicans are conservative and thus when foreigners want to kill the KKK, they think it’s the Republican administration’s fault too. That’s not necessarily accurate, even from a domestic stand point.

  4. A lot of the Left’s propaganda is used to distract people into ignoring how much terrorist money has been unfrozen by Hussein vis a vis Iran and ISIL. While this started in around 2003-2004, the Left’s connections to the military industrial complex and the Saudis (Clark) has always been hidden, and not for national security reasons. The Clintons are involved, say no more right.
