This was just a taste of the trouble high winds brought to Colorado Springs today.
Three semi’s overturned on I-25 south Colorado Springs.
The cold has finally arrived on the Colorado Front range. Here in Colorado Springs as I write this it’s about 37 degrees. Not bad really. Yesterday’s high was around 12 degrees.
We received a little bit of snow, maybe two inches total where I’m at. Some places had a bit more some less. Driving has been mostly good but with a few moments like the one below.
Today it’s sunny so no worries.
We needed the moisture.
Now to figure out a way to get to the mountains and out of the office.
The Colorado Springs area job market took another turn for the worse in June with the unemployment rate rising to a 17-month high of 9.5 percent while payrolls fell for the first time in nearly two years, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday
I can attest to the job market here. It’s tough…
There was a chill in the air as I woke this morning. We leave our window open a bit for fresh air and this morning it was definitely fresh. After getting a warm cup of tea and checking the news I took a look at the local temperature. 18 degrees. It would appear winter has arrived.
Now it’s not as bad as it seems. The daytime high should hit 60 or so. Well I hope it does anyway.
Normally we get a first snow by now so this isn’t unusual but I always hope it will be warm on Halloween then it’s ok to turn cold.
