Lois Lerners emails gone?

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Service says it has lost a trove of emails to and from a central figure in the agency’s tea party controversy.

The IRS told congressional investigators Friday it cannot locate many of Lois Lerner’s emails prior to 2011 because her computer crashed that year. Lerner headed the IRS division that processed applications for tax-exempt status.

Umm.  Really?  Are you kidding me or just lying to my face?  People these emails are surely stored on a server not her computer and are backed up in multiple places.  If not we need to fire every IT person working at the IRS.  NOW!

  1. When they check the backups, they might find it strange that the HDs were magnetized wrecks or that the data had been reformatted 1000 times over every single binary byte.

  2. Their current excuse/justification is that the backups were “only” good for six months. Of course, in the beginning they said the IRS did not target people, that only rogue agents did, and only later did we come to where we are today.

I suspect they were buying time to ensure all the backups were eliminated and had properly expired the record, and were cleaning up loose ends, such as HDs that could be recovered data intact.

Congress seems to be filing criminal indictments for the IRS, to the Justice Department. Eric “Justice is not blind, for I am Her Eyes” Holder, of course, will play his part in the game.
