It’s been a while since I used Linux. I remember installing Red Hat Linux (5.1 version I believe) way back in the late 90’s and it was much harder to install back then. Of course so was windows. It was a bit clunky then and the KDE and Gnome interfaces weren’t that nice. But then I worked with AIX then and it’s GUI was pretty ugly also.
I have to get myself back up to speed on the command line since I haven’t really used it much since the early 2000’s. I was an AIX administrator back then so it’s not like it’s real hard but I need to look at cheat sheets now. Yes, you can use Linux without running the command line now with the GUI interfaces but something about command line makes you feel like a real computer geek, which I’m not.
Now this posting was not done on the Linux box as I’m still loading programs and updates.
