Bob Dole gets it right. Scott McClellan Asshat

Scott,

There are miserable creatures like you in every administration who don’t have the guts to speak up or quit if there are disagreements with the boss or colleagues. No, your type soaks up the benefits of power, revels in the limelight for years, then quits, and spurred on by greed, cashes in with a scathing critique.

In my nearly 36 years of public service I’ve known of a few like you. No doubt you will “clean up” as the liberal anti-Bush press will promote your belated concerns with wild enthusiasm. When the money starts rolling in you should donate it to a worthy cause, something like, “Biting The Hand That Fed Me.” Another thought is to weasel your way back into the White House if a Democrat is elected. That would provide a good set up for a second book deal in a few years.

I have no intention of reading your “exposé” because if all these awful things were happening, and perhaps some may have been, you should have spoken up publicly like a man, or quit your cushy, high profile job. That would have taken integrity and courage but then you would have had credibility and your complaints could have been aired objectively. You’re a hot ticket now but don’t you, deep down, feel like a total ingrate?

BOB DOLE

Right on the money Bob.

Back in the states.

Ok I’m not home yet but I am back in the states. Yes it’s a nice feeling. I don’t have an actually internet connection so posting will still be very limited. But give me a couple weeks and I’ll be back. Thanks to all those that have commented and continue to stop by.

Weakess not cultural awareness

Just fu**ing insane. Weakness shows it’s face again. These people don’t need their asses kissed they need some reality. Shit happens, get over it. But now our leaders will get on their knees to show how they still don’t understand this culture. These Sheiks are laughing their collective asses off.

U.S. General Apologizes For Desecration Of Koran

By Andrew E. Kramer

BAGHDAD — The commander of United States troops in Baghdad asked local leaders and tribal sheiks this weekend for their forgiveness after the discovery that a soldier had used a Koran for target practice at a shooting range.

Responding to an episode ripe with the potential to stoke unrest, the commander, Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond, held a meeting Saturday with Iraqi leaders.

“I come before you here seeking your forgiveness,” General Hammond said at the meeting, in remarks carried by CNN. “In the most humble manner, I look in your eyes today and I say, please forgive me and my soldiers.”

General Hammond also read a letter of apology from the soldier, who was not identified. “I sincerely hope that my actions have not diminished the partnership that our two nations have developed together,” the general read from the letter.

Another American officer kissed a Koran and gave it to the tribal leaders, according to news agency reports.

A statement Sunday from the American military called the desecration of the Koran, in Radwaniya, just west of Baghdad, “serious and deeply troubling” and said the soldier had been disciplined and sent out of Iraq. Iraqi police officers had found the Koran on May 11 perforated with bullet holes after American forces withdrew from the area.

“ROME”

During the beginning of this deployment one of our team guys had a copy of the first season of HBOs Rome.  It quickly became a cult like addiction watching the hours of sex, conniving and fighting.  After the initial exposure to Rome, I didn’t see the second season until the last few days.  Which while in transit afforded me the time to watch season two nearly non-stop.  The damn show is like crack.  You can’t walk away from it.

This show is pure entertainment and I doubt it truly resembles what Rome was like but then again who knows.  But if it  was filled with as much debauchery as portrayed then I was born in the wrong time.  Of course with so little restrained shown I would have most likely been killed early on so maybe It’s ok Im not in that century.

What does it really have.  Well attractive mature women, death by sword which can never be wrong, and back stabbing to the hilt.  There is sex, blood and evil.  There is also of course the noble.  Well kind of noble.  More like stubbornness in Lucius Vorenus and loyalty in his friend Titus Pullo.  The best characters in the show.

And no I didn’t watch it just for the gratuitous sex but that sure helped.. 😉

Oh yeah there are no happy ending however.
